Philosophy and Principles of
White Eagle Lodge

The White Eagle philosophy teaches a universal spiritual path of brotherhood for all men and women and the teachings are inclusive of all life. Whether we call ourselves Christian, Buddhist, Hindu, Muslim…, we are all one human family, following the path towards the development of a universal consciousness.

Its name “White Eagle” symbolizes the bird of vision and is the mystical symbol of St. John, the disciple who wrote the fourth gospel in the New Testament and the book of Revelation of the Christian Bible. This stained-glass, illustrating the symbolism of Saint John and the white eagle, is one of the windows in a church in the village of Sheepscombe, U.K.

The White Eagle Lodge seeks to establish a ‘Brotherhood of Spirit’ in all countries of the world inclusive of all spiritual paths; so that the influence of kindliness, mutual respect and dignity can be spread throughout the Earth.

The Principles of the White Eagle Lodge

    1. The White Eagle teaching describes God – Father and Mother – as the unlimited spirit of love, wisdom and power which creates and sustains all life.
    2. The White Eagle teaching states that God, in the form of the Christ spirit, is also the essential part of each person, and thus connects us with each other and with all life.
    3. The White Eagle teaching affirms that God, as the highest expression of love—both universally and within the human heart—leads us to serve each other and to bring compassion and light into the world for the benefit of all life.
    4. The White Eagle teaching is that each person’s life exists before and beyond physical existence, and that we can be aware of and contact that greater life through such means as the intuition, inspiration and meditation.
    5. The White Eagle teaching explains the existence of spiritual laws, arising from God, and governing all life. These are Reincarnation (always leading to growth), Cause and Effect (as you give so you receive), Opportunity (successive lives are about continuous learning, not failure), Correspondences (the reflection of the divine order in all earthly things), and Equilibrium (balance and compensation for all that happens).
    6. The White Eagle teaching shows how these spiritual laws exist to enable us to fulfill the purpose of earthly life, which is that the inner light should become so strong and radiant that even the cells of the physical body are transmuted into finer substance which can overcome mortality. This is known as the Christing of the human being or, in the word of the ancient Brotherhood, the blooming of the Rose upon the Cross of matter.

The Six-Pointed Star

Symbols are the language of Spirit and the symbol of the White Eagle Lodge is the six-pointed star. It represents the Christ Love. It is a symbol of the perfectly balanced man or woman who is awakened to God, and yet whose feet are firmly planted upon the Earth. It is an age old symbol and is called the ‘Christ Star.’ The Christ is the Light that illuminates the hearts of all people.

The six-pointed star is composed of two equilateral triangles seamlessly joined. The upward-pointing equilateral triangle indicates the outer-self of humans, firmly based on Earth, with thoughts and feelings reaching heavenwards, aspiring towards heavenly guidance and communion. The downward-pointing triangle represents the interpenetration of the higher self in bringing the heavenly light down into Earthly consciousness moment to moment. The shining star represents not only the Christing of each individual but the great Christ-star in the heavens which may be interpreted as God personified, the Son of God. This truth was taught in all ancient mystery schools.

The star is a reminder of our true being as spirit and a focal point for meditation. When focusing on that star through the power of divine love we can direct that light, truth and healing anywhere in the world where there is need.

The Star is not only a great cosmic power, it is also a tender,
loving, guiding power; a protecting power in your own lives.

If you can surrender yourselves to the sweet and
lovely Star radiance, you will find that your pathway will be
one of light and happiness and gentle peace.”
