Meditation
Meditation is a way to increase spiritual awareness. It is not a mental practice, but a practice of the heart; an opening to the nature of ones true being. The regular practice of meditation awakens and opens the heart-center so that greater love and understanding may grow.
The goal of meditation is to find that place of utter peace, deep, deep within one self; an at-one-ment or union with God. It is not arrived at through any process of mental concentration; it is a sweet, simple consciousness of the Divine Light of God.
In meditation we learn to be still and listen to that voice within the heart; finding guidance, understanding and inspiration.
The White Eagle way of meditation brings a union between Eastern and Western traditions. Through the use of visualization and inner stillness an ever-growing awareness of the inner life of spirit quietly unfolds.
Meditation is a practice we feel in our hearts, not in our minds. Thus, meditation and the development of man’s latent spiritual powers are fundamental to the White Eagle teaching. White Eagle Centers and Groups, both physical and virtual, offer the opportunity to join in open world- wide Zoom meditations. For more information please contact denise@whiteaglelodge.org.
A good White Eagle book to help begin the practice of meditation is the White Eagle publication: Meditation by Grace Cooke. Short meditations may be found in the little book The Still Voice. These may be ordered through our bookstore. There is also a course available to members.
